Creating robots that can teach themselves to do (almost) anything:
The mission of the Everyday Robots team was to build robots as transformative to the physical world as computers are in the digital world. To get there, they took on the hardest problem in robotics: building robots that can learn how to help with just about anything. The team pioneered new forms of machine intelligence to develop an integrated hardware and software platform aimed at making robotic learning feasible at scale. In 2023, Everyday Robots was consolidated into Google DeepMind robotics.
